China summoned the German ambassador to protest

China protested Germany's successive arrests of Chinese spies, and summoned Germany's ambassador to China to the ministry.
According to VOA on April 26, Germany's ambassador to China, Patricia Flore, revealed on social media that she was summoned by China's foreign ministry to protest the German government's arrest of four German citizens who worked for China's intelligence agency this week.
"This move is thought provoking, but also a good opportunity to explain some things," Patricia Flores wrote about the summons by China's foreign ministry. "We will never allow espionage in Germany, no matter what country it comes from," he wrote. We defend our democratic country and our law-governed state policy through law. The German Federal Prosecutor General is leading the investigation. "In the end, an independent court will decide on the above-mentioned allegations."
The German Federal Prosecutor's Office released a press release saying that three German citizens suspected of espionage in cooperation with China's Ministry of Security were arrested in western Germany on April 22.
According to the news quoted in this regard, among those arrested, Thomas-R used to work as a mercenary for the Ministry of National Security, which is China's spy agency. He received information about newly developed technologies that could be used in the German military sector. Thomas-R also used two other spies, Herwig-F and Ina-F, to obtain relevant information.
In addition, a few days ago, the German police arrested a Chinese aide of right-wing party member and European Parliament candidate Maximilian Kirch on the charge of spying for China. The arrested Chinese national, Jiang Guo, 43, was accused of leaking information about the European Parliament to Chinese intelligence agencies and spying on the Chinese opposition in Germany.
