A brotherly iftar banquet for East Turkistan people in Istanbul

On March 23, an iftar banquet was held for the people of East Turkistan in the Safakoy district of Istanbul, Turkey.
The banquet was organized by the International Union of East Turkistan Organizations. A large number of Uyghurs participated in the banquet, as well as former Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu, Director of the Social Organizations Department at the Istanbul Immigration Office, Serdar Dal, Dr. Rashida Yuksal from the Justice and Development Party, head of the Women’s Department of the Justice and Development Party in the Kucukcekmece region, Ozlam Erol, and candidate The Good Party of Istanbul Mayor Bugra Kauncu, Head of the Women's Internal Communications Department of Zeytinburnu of the Justice and Development Party, candidate for Zeytinburnu Assembly Member, Khurshida Arç, Eyüp Akbal, Secretary General of the Union of Non-Governmental Organizations in the Islamic World, Mustafa Anteplioglu, Head of the Government of Kucukcekmece District, and Dr. Adam Uslu. Head of Zeytinburnu District Government.
In addition, representatives of the Nationalist Movement Party, the Happiness Party, the New Welfare Party, central command centers, local governments, various political parties and non-governmental organizations participated.
The banquet began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an by reciter Abdul Jalil, and then the President of the International Union of East Turkistan Organizations, Hidayatullah Oguzkhan, delivered an opening speech. At the outset, he expressed his gratitude on behalf of the East Turkistan people for the generous hospitality shown to the Uyghurs by the government and people of Turkey, noting that at this time when the East Turkistan people are gathering in Istanbul to break their fast, China has banned fasting and all other forms of worship in East Turkistan, Systematic genocide is being committed against the East Turkistan people .
Then the head of the East Turkistan Scholars Union , Dr. Alam Jan Bogda, said that China has prevented the East Turkistan people from worshiping, fasting, etc., and at the same time it is trying to cover up the crime of genocide by various means and is trying to deceive other countries and peoples.
Bugra Kawoncu, candidate for mayor of Istanbul, also spoke and said that the party is making efforts to support the East Turkistan people and put the East Turkistan issue on the agenda of the Turkish Parliament at all times.
Then Mr. Eyup Akbal, Secretary General of the Union of Non-Governmental Organizations in the Islamic World, added: “Repression continues all over the world. Turkey is the great bulwark of the Islamic world, and it is very important to strengthen Turkey. China continues to oppress the East Turkistan people .” He also stressed that China needs to be strong to stop these crimes.
Dr. Rashida Yuksel from the Justice and Development Party spoke and said that she prayed to God for a quick end to the ongoing oppression from Gaza to East Turkistan, and stressed that her party will continue the fight against injustice.
Then Suleiman Soylu, the former Turkish Interior Minister, spoke and said that the group will continue its struggle against those who persecute Muslims in East Turkistan, Arakan, Afghanistan, Palestine, Iraq and elsewhere.
The banquet concluded with prayers by Ataullah Haji, Vice President of the East Turkistan Scholars Union.
