Blinken will go to China

It is reported that the US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, will be in the Chinese capital Beijing on June 18 for diplomatic contacts.

According to The Associated Press news agency, citing diplomatic sources who did not want to be named, it was reported that Blinken will meet with Chinese officials in Beijing on June 18. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not yet issued any official statement on Minister Blinken's visit.

Cancelled due to diplomatic crisis

US officials announced in early February that an increasing number of "spy balloons" have entered US airspace and it is understood that they belong to China.

The mysterious vehicles, the size of three buses, about 60 meters long, were shot down by an American warplane off the coast of South Carolina on February 4. The same airship was also seen over the state of Montana, home to many US precision nuclear missiles.

While the events caused a diplomatic crisis, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken canceled his planned visit to China at the end of February.
