All over the world, Uighur Mother Language Day was specially celebrated

On the occasion of World Mother Language Day on February 21, Uyghurs living in all parts of the world, mother tongue schools specially commemorated this day and re-emphasized the importance of protecting the Uyghur language and writing, which is facing challenges.

At a time when the Chinese regime is trying to ban and destroy the presence of Uyghur language in the fields of education, publishing, and media in East Turkistan, instead of trying to popularize the Chinese language, celebrating World Mother Language Day is more important than any other nation in the diaspora community. This year, Uyghurs living all over the world, mother tongue schools and organizations celebrated this day with special events.

In addition, on the afternoon of February 21, an event was held on the topic of "My mother tongue - Uyghur language" in connection with the world mother tongue at Kazliçeşme Black Sea Salon located in Zeytinburnu district of Istanbul.

The event was organized by the East Turkistan Education and Cooperation Association and the Sutuk Bugrakhan Science and Culture Foundation. Among the organizations responsible for the event, the president of the International Union of East Turkistan Organizations, Hidaytullah Oitzkhan, the East Turkistan Nuzugum Laetru, and the president of the family association, Ms. Uygur, the president of the family association, Sutuk Bugrakhan Science and Culture Foundation and education Teachers and students of the Mother Tongue, Qur'an course and parents participated.

In the event, it was emphasized that the schools opened to protect the Uyghur language, the mother tongue of the Uyghur people living abroad, are very important at a time when the Uyghur people in East Turkistan have lost the ability to preserve their mother tongue. Various songs prepared by the students were also presented at the event, and poems and verses dedicated to the mother were recited.

In addition, on the occasion of the International Mother Language Day, on February 17, Uyghur Academy Foundation, Uyghur Mother Language Committee, Tangnuri Educational Center and Elite Education held a special event on the theme of "Love of Mother Tongue among Uyghurs" at Sabahattin Zaim University in Istanbul. Various songs prepared by teenagers were presented to the participants.
