A message of condolences from Uyghurs about the earthquake in Morocco

While the number of those who lost their lives in the earthquake in Morocco increased to 2 thousand 862 and the number of injured people increased to 2 thousand 562, a message of condolence was published from the Uyghur Diaspora.
The Moroccan Ministry of Interior shared updated information about the earthquake that occurred on the night of September 8. In the statement of the ministry, it was stated that the loss of life as a result of the 7 magnitude earthquake increased to 2 thousand 862 and the number of injured increased to 2 thousand 562.
AID CAMPAIGNS CONTINUE
After the earthquake, hundreds of charitable workers in Marrakech mobilized as part of the relief campaign launched for earthquake victims across the country. Donations in kind, intended to be delivered to earthquake victims, are received by relief workers at a reception center established in an open area at the exit of Marrakech and are registered. The collected donations are then loaded into the vehicles of philanthropists and transported to the earthquake-affected areas. Imen Benhamid, one of the volunteers who supported the aid campaign, spoke to a correspondent, saying, "I came here after seeing announcements on social media. Everyone is helping with whatever they have. There are even women making bread at home and bringing it here."

Benhamid stated that this campaign is a great opportunity for those who wish to deliver aid to the earthquake victims but do not have the chance to travel in their own vehicles. He emphasized that everyone is working selflessly to provide assistance. In addition to Marrakech, the earthquake also affected the capital, Rabat, as well as the cities of Casablanca, Meknes, Agadir, and Fas.
Only assistance from four countries was accepted.
In a written statement issued by the Moroccan Ministry of Interior, it was announced that offers of assistance were accepted, and a "search and rescue team" was dispatched from Spain, the United Kingdom, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates in December. On Sunday, December 1, the search and rescue teams arrived in Morocco to work in coordination with Moroccan teams. The statement also conveyed Morocco's appreciation for proposals and cooperation initiatives from various countries.

On this occasion, the East Turkistan Scholars Union, based in Turkey, shared a message of condolences regarding this matter. In their statement, expressing condolences to the Moroccan people for the earthquake that struck Morocco, they wished for Allah's mercy for those who lost their lives in the disaster, patience for their families, and a speedy recovery for the injured.
