"The Uyghur boxer came in second place in the CIS match."
In the 2nd International Boxing Match of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) held in Belarus on August 6, Uyghur origin boxer from Kyrgyzstan, Muhammed Aziz Zakiruf, defeated his opponent and won the second place.
The Uyghur boxer, who entered the ring for Kyrgyzstan, reached the final by defeating Turkmenistan and Belarus in the elimination and semi-final rounds.
However, on August 12th, Uyghur boxer Muhammad Aziz Zakiruf came in second place after being defeated by his Uzbek opponent in the 80 kg weight category championship league.
CONSECUTIVE ACHIEVEMENTS
Seventeen-year-old Muhammad Aziz Zakiruf, of Uyghur origin, is a member of the young national team of the Kyrgyz Republic and competes in boxing matches at the 80 kg weight level. Through a series of victories in competitions held in Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and even East Turkistan, he has consistently achieved success and drawn attention.
Despite Muhammad Aziz Zakiruf's loss to his Uzbek opponent, his second-place win has brought joy to the East Turkistan diaspora both within the country and abroad.
