"Iran Revitalizes Its Ballistic Missile Program with China's Help"

"Western Intelligence Officials Claim Iran is Reviving Its Ballistic Missile Program with China's Support"

European intelligence officials, speaking to CNN on condition of anonymity, say a ship carrying 1,000 tons of sodium perchlorate, a chemical used for solid fuel in missiles, has traveled from China to Iran.

The cargo ship named Golbon reportedly departed from Taicang Port in China's Jiangsu Province about three weeks ago and arrived yesterday at Iran's Bandar Abbas city.

Sources indicate that the solid fuel produced with this chemical could be enough to launch approximately 260 "Kheibar Shekan" or 200 "Haj Qasem" missiles. Both ballistic missiles have a range of about 1,450 kilometers.

MUTUAL ATTACKS HAD OCCURRED During increased tensions due to the Gaza War, mutual attacks occurred between Israel and Iran. The Israeli military had struck Iran's missile production facilities in October. CNN's report suggests that Tehran could reactivate its missile program with chemicals from China.

The chemical materials were reportedly received by a unit affiliated with Iran's Revolutionary Guards Corps.

Another cargo ship named Jairan is also expected to travel from China to Iran. It is suggested that this ship might carry similar chemicals. Both ships are reportedly operated by the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines, which has been sanctioned by the US and United Kingdom.

The report notes that the supply of these materials is not illegal and does not violate sanctions against Iran. However, the cargo ships Golbon and Jairan had been placed on the US sanctions list.

CHINA CALLS SANCTIONS "ILLEGAL." In a statement from the Chinese Foreign Ministry, while claiming they "don't have information about the details" of the delivery, they described the sanctions against Iran as "unilateral and illegal."

Meanwhile, a US intelligence report that emerged this week suggested that Israel is planning to attack Iran's nuclear facilities in the coming months. It was stated that Iran's military infrastructure has "weakened" recently and that Israel is trying to take advantage of this situation.
